In 2015, Pedro won a keyboard and soon started playing the first songs, forming his repertoire. The first song Pedro played on the keyboard was “The Entertainer” by Scott Joplin. He also performed classical music, including: “Kinderszenen” by Robert Schumann.

 

Pedro's repertoire became influenced by jazz. In 2016, he made his first performance with the keyboard, playing the jazz classic “Blue Moon”. That same year, Pedro started making his first music videos, playing the keyboard. Pedro Hill's first video was of a performance of “The Lion Sleeps Tonight”. Still in 2016, Pedro composed his first melody, “Rock n’ Roll Rocket ”.

 

On October 29, 2017, Pedro planned a musical project focused on instrumental music, where he would make recordings under the pseudonym “John Art”. This idea came from another project, "Jland", which ended up not having recordings. The "John Art" project started with a cover of "Blue Moon", which also marked the first recording that Pedro made in his musical career. Thus, Pedro started recording covers and original compositions as well. Some of these recordings include: “The Piano Special” (music by Pedro Hill. Pedro's first composition to be recorded), “Oh Susanna” (Stephen Foster). “Photograph Memories” (music by Pedro Hill) and “The Toy Piano” (music by Pedro Hill). During that year, Pedro continued making video clips, where he performed the most varied melodies on the keyboard and also original compositions.

 

In 2018, Pedro started to improve his recordings, with more arrangements and also sounds from other instruments. He also won a piano. In his repertoire, music genres like rock n 'roll and traditional folk were included. Under the pseudonym "John Art", Pedro continued making recordings, and he released three albums: "John’s Wonderful Piano Music Vol. 1", "John’s Wonderful Piano Music Vol. 2" and "Wonderful Instrumentals and Lively Melodies". In the “John Art” project, Pedro recorded his composition “Everybody Twist” (music by Pedro Hill).

 

Still in 2018, Pedro created the YouTube channel “John Art“. In this channel, several video clips that Pedro made under this pseudonym can be found.

 

The “John Art” project ended so that the musician could present himself as “Pedro Hill”. From that moment on, he also started to sing. The first video clip of Pedro singing, where he interprets the popular Russian song “I’m very happy, because I’m finally going home” (original Russian title: Я очень рад, ведь я, наконец, возвращаюсь домой), was made. The YouTube channel “Solta a Voz Com Pedro Hill“ (English: "Sing with Pedro Hill") was created.

Pedro composed more and more songs and made more and more video clips. Some of these songs include: “Dia Feliz” (music and lyrics by Pedro Hill) and “Canção Marítima” ("Maritime Song") (music and lyrics by Pedro Hill).

 

On Children's Day, Pedro recorded his song “Vamos Lá!” ("Let's Go!") (music and lyrics by Pedro Hill). A lyric video for the song was published. From this song, Pedro created an imaginary place, “Imaginalândia”, which became the theme of other songs.

 

On February 13, 2019, Pedro released his first single, which included the song “Não Posso Ficar Parado” (music and lyrics by Pedro Hill). This song was recorded in 2018. Pedro composed it inspired by the fact that it seemed that he was always putting some project into practice and having new ideas, and the song is exactly about that.

 

In March 2019, the single “Vamos Lá!” was released. For this release, Pedro recorded an extended version of “Vamos Lá!”, with new lyrics about “Imaginalândia”. Another track included in the single is “Amigos Musicais” ("Musical Friends") (music and lyrics by Pedro Hill), which has influences on jazz and contains lyrics about friends who are united by music and thus embark on various adventures.

 

In April, another single, “Mensagem Para Você“, was released. This release had influences in jazz and rock n 'roll. The track "Mensagem Para Você" (music and lyrics by Pedro Hill) has a calm jazz beat and contains lyrics about finding fun in good times. The track "Dia Feliz" (music and lyrics by Pedro Hill) has influences in rock n 'roll and is about what it is like to have a happy day and how we can have it. Pedro had also made a recording of “Dia Feliz” previously, in 2018.

 

On July 5, 2019, the single “Chamando as Crianças” was released with several new features. This was another release for the “Imaginalândia” project. The track “Chamando as Crianças” (music and lyrics by Pedro Hill) was published on the YouTube channel “Solta a Voz com Pedro Hill” on June 1, accompanied by the video clip. Previously, Pedro had also made a test recording after composing the song, showing how the track was different before reaching the final result. Pedro had not yet written the lyrics for “Chamando as Crianças”, so the test recording was only of the melody being played by Pedro on the keyboard. Another track included in the single is “Essa é a Nossa Grande Equipe” (music and lyrics by Pedro Hill), which has a polka beat and is about the importance of teamwork.

 

In August, the first English single from Pedro's trajectory, “Let’s All Get Together“, was released, which included instrumental compositions that were planned to be published in the “John Art” project in 2018, but which have only been released in 2019. The track “Let’s All Get Together” (composed by Pedro Hill) is a lively and inspiring instrumental. The track “Smooth Memories” (composed by Pedro Hill) is a slow and calm melody with a theme of memories.

On the channel “Solta a Voz Com Pedro Hill”, Pedro talked about the single “Let’s All Get Together” and presented the track of the same name on the piano.

Pedro Hill's first EP, “Swing on Time“, was released. It is also Pedro's second English release. The release was inspired by styles like: jazz and rock n 'roll. For this EP, Pedro recorded his 2016 composition, “Rock n’ Roll Rocket ”, updating it.

On November 10, the single “Dixie Land“ was released, with original songs in English inspired by jazz and polka. This is the first release where Pedro Hill sings in English.

On January 2, 2020, the EP “The Golden Days“ was released. The release includes instrumental compositions, some of which were recorded in 2018, when Pedro Hill used the pseudonym “John Art”. The idea of ​​“The Golden Days” is to portray the 50's, known as “the golden years of music”.

On January 29, 2020, Pedro Hill's first album, “Swingin’ Kids “, was released. This release includes tracks inspired by styles like: jazz and polka. The album cover is a drawing that depicts Pedro Hill playing the piano. On some tracks, Pedro plays a jazz musical instrument known as "kazoo".

On March 21, 2020, Pedro Hill released another EP, this time in Portuguese. The release "Novas Aventuras" includes five songs that were composed by Pedro in 2018, being very important for the artist's musical trajectory. The songs were composed by Pedro shortly after he stopped using the pseudonym "John Art", thus starting a new project, where the songs would portray themes such as: adventures, friendship, fun and teamwork.
