The pseudonym “John Art” was chosen based on the initials of Pedro's two favorite artists: John Lennon and Art Garfunkel.

The first song Pedro played on the keyboard was “The Entertainer” by Scott Joplin.

Pedro's first keyboard performances took place in 2016.

On July 5, 2019, Pedro released his fourth single, "Chamando as Crianças" (English: "Calling the Children"), which brought several new features. One of the songs that Pedro composed for the single, “Essa é a Nossa Grande Equipe” ("This is Our Great Team") (music and lyrics by Pedro Hill), has a curious history. Pedro had already written the lyrics for the song a long time ago, more specifically, in 2017. The lyrics were very different and Pedro only composed the music to accompany them in 2019. For the single “Chamando as Crianças”, Pedro wrote new lyrics based on the ones he had written in 2017. Thus, the result was “Essa é a Nossa Grande Equipe”. The song has influences in musical genres such as polka, having a characteristic beat of the style.

In April 2019, Pedro released his third single, "Mensagem Para Você" ("Message to You"), with influences in jazz and rock n 'roll. One of the tracks included in the single is an updated version of “Dia Feliz” ("Happy Day") (music and lyrics by Pedro Hill). In 2018, Pedro was inspired by musical genres such as polka and skiffle and had the idea of ​​composing a song with influences in these styles. The result was “Dia Feliz”, where Pedro describes what it's like to have a happy day. Still in 2018, a music video was made for the song. For the single "Mensagem Para Você", an updated version of "Dia Feliz" was made, this time with influences in rock n 'roll.

Pedro Hill's first music video was made in 2016. In the video, he performed the song “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” on the keyboard. Several other videos of Pedro playing the keyboard were made, but there was still no video of him singing. The first video clip where Pedro sings was made in 2018, when he had already stopped using the pseudonym “John Art” to present himself as “Pedro Hill”. In the video, he performed the popular Russian song “I’m very happy because I’ll finally be coming home” (in Russian: Я очень рад, ведь я наконец возвращаюсь домой).

The lyrics for the song “Chamando as Crianças” (music and lyrics by Pedro Hill) were created by Pedro shortly after the release of the single “Mensagem Para Você”. The lyrics were very different and the title of the song was “Brincando” ("Playing"). The lyrics and the music evolved little by little and the end result was “Chamando as Crianças”. While Pedro was creating the melody, he made a test recording. The recording shows how the melody was different and showed only some characteristics of the final result. Initially, Pedro planned for the song to be performed in the “bluegrass” style.

In 2018, the song “Não Posso Ficar Parado” ("I Can't Stand Still") (music and lyrics by Pedro Hill) was planned to be included in an album called “A Aventura Não Para Com Pedro Hill” ("The Adventure Doesn't Stop With Pedro Hill"). This would be Pedro's first album. However, the end result was that the song was released as a single in 2019.

The first song that Pedro sang, after having his experience playing the keyboard, was "Good Lovin '" by The Young Rascals.
